Dr. Hina Khan is stepping down from her role as Executive Director of Space Scotland.

The leadership change will take place with immediate effect.

Space Scotland was formalised as a not-for-profit legal entity in 2021.  Formed as a Scottish Space community-driven initiative, to build on the distinctive Scottish space landscape of over 150 companies and the wider ecosystem, including academia and supported by Government.  Its aims are to identify and address opportunities and overcome challenges through catalysing strategic collaborative, industry-led signature initiatives and interventions.

Professor Andy Mount – Chair of the Space Scotland Board stated:

“On behalf of all the members of Space Scotland, the broader space community and the Board of Directors I would like to thank Hina for her time in post as our first Executive Director of Space Scotland during our establishment and growth phase.  The vibrant and highly successful inaugural Space-Comm Scotland showcase recently demonstrated that this is an exciting time to be part of Scotland’s space sector.  We now look forward to working in partnership with our members, stakeholders, and supporters, to act with the focus and pace required to serve our dynamic space industry and wider ecosystem.”
